Privacy Policy

The short version: I collect only what you choose to send me and some anonymous stats about how people use this site. I don't sell your information, and I never will. The longer version is below.

This Privacy Policy explains how Knightly Design, LLC ("Knightly Design," "I," "me") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit christianknightly.com (the "Site").

Information you give me

When you fill out the contact form, I collect the details you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number (if provided), company name, and the content of your message. I use this only to respond to you and to discuss a potential project.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the Site collects some information automatically when you visit, including your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and general location (city or region, not your street address).

This information is collected through two analytics tools:

• Squarespace Analytics. The Site is hosted on Squarespace, which collects visitor data to provide site statistics. See Squarespace's Privacy Policy.

• Google Analytics. I use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect usage data, which Google processes on my behalf. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. The Site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, plus analytics cookies from Squarespace and Google. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the Site may not work as intended.

How I use your information

I use the information I collect to:

• Respond to your inquiries and communicate about projects

• Understand how the Site is used so I can improve it

• Keep the Site secure and working properly

• Comply with legal obligations

I don't use your information for automated decision-making, and I won't add you to a mailing list unless you ask to be added.

How information is shared

I don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information. I share it only with:

• Service providers that help run the Site, such as Squarespace (hosting and forms) and Google (analytics), who process data on my behalf

• Legal authorities when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Knightly Design or others

• A successor business if Knightly Design is ever merged, sold, or reorganized, with this policy continuing to apply

How long I keep it

I keep contact form submissions as long as needed to respond and maintain a record of our communication, typically no longer than 2 years unless we work together. Analytics data is retained according to the settings in Squarespace and Google Analytics, currently indefinitely.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me to access, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you by emailing christian@knightly.design. You can decline analytics cookies through the cookie banner or your browser, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.

If you live in a place with specific privacy laws, such as the European Union, United Kingdom, or certain U.S. states, you may have additional rights, including the right to object to processing or to file a complaint with a data protection authority. I'll honor those requests as the law requires.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for businesses and adults. I don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent me information, contact me and I'll delete it.

Security

I use reasonable measures to protect your information, including Squarespace's SSL encryption. No website or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so I can't guarantee absolute security.

Links to other websites

The Site may link to other websites, including client projects and social media. I'm not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I'll change the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be noted on the Site.
